One of the things I love most about Plymouth is that it continues to grow while staying true to what makes it such a wonderful place to call home. From beautiful neighborhoods and award-winning parks to local restaurants and community traditions, Plymouth offers a lifestyle that appeals to families, professionals, and retirees alike.
This summer, that lifestyle is becoming even more exciting.
New destinations are opening, familiar traditions are expanding, and thoughtful developments are creating more places for neighbors to gather, dine, and enjoy everyday life. As a REALTOR® who has spent more than 20 years helping buyers and sellers throughout the Twin Cities, I've learned that understanding a community goes far beyond knowing home values or market statistics. One of the biggest additions to Plymouth this year is The Boulevard, a transformative mixed-use redevelopment located at Interstate 494 and Bass Lake Road. What was once the former Prudential Financial campus is quickly becoming a vibrant destination that brings together dining, shopping, future housing, business space, and community gathering areas.
The first major milestone arrived in March with the opening of Coborn's Market & Table, a flagship grocery store unlike anything else in the area. Rather than simply offering groceries, the space was thoughtfully designed as a place where people can meet, dine, relax, and spend time together.
Inside you'll find several chef-inspired dining experiences, including The Global Table by David Fhima, featuring Basta Pasta, Abuela's Mexican Kitchen, and Brother's Burgers. The market also includes The Buttered Tin, founded by Food Network Cupcake Wars champion Alicia Hinze, along with Penny Horse Parlor, serving Kemp's ice cream and specialty dirty sodas.
One of my favorite aspects of the development is that it was designed to encourage people to stay awhile. Families can enjoy the playground, neighbors can gather around the performance stage, and visitors can easily combine dinner, shopping, and entertainment into one enjoyable evening.
Plymouth's dining scene is also expanding beyond The Boulevard. Fuego, located at 10100 6th Avenue North, has introduced another outstanding option for those looking to enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine and handcrafted cocktails.
Communities become more desirable when they continue investing in places where people naturally gather. Developments like The Boulevard create opportunities for neighbors to connect while adding conveniences that enhance everyday life. These types of investments often become part of what makes a community so appealing to both current residents and future homebuyers.

One of Plymouth's most beloved traditions has long been Music in Plymouth at the Hilde Performance Center. For more than five decades, families and friends have gathered on the lawn each summer to enjoy an evening of live music, community, and celebration.
This year marked the 54th annual Music in Plymouth, featuring the Minnesota Orchestra alongside Jolly Pops and Power of 10. While that event has already taken place, it also introduced an exciting new chapter for the Hilde Performance Center.
For the first time in its history, the Hilde is hosting Hilde Amplified, a two-night ticketed concert series bringing nationally recognized artists to Plymouth. It's an exciting addition that builds upon one of the city's favorite traditions while creating an entirely new summer experience for residents and visitors alike.

If you're looking for a relaxing way to enjoy the final weeks of summer, French Regional Park remains one of my favorite destinations in Plymouth.
Located along the shores of beautiful Medicine Lake, the park offers a swimming beach, scenic walking trails, fishing, picnic areas, kayak, canoe and paddleboat rentals, a fishing pier, and one of the area's most creative playgrounds. Whether you're planning an afternoon with the family or simply looking for a peaceful walk after work, it's a wonderful place to experience everything that makes a Minnesota summer so special.
One of the things I appreciate most is how easy it is to enjoy. You don't need an entire weekend to make memories here. Even an hour or two on a summer evening can feel like a getaway close to home.
