When we look back at the events of 9/11, we see countless stories of bravery, sacrifice, and love. People risked their lives not just for themselves, but for their families, colleagues, and even strangers. The tragedy reminds us that every moment matters and that the reasons we work so hard—whether it's for our family, community, or personal fulfillment—are worth reflecting on and reinforcing daily.

My "why" encompasses the desire to provide for my family, create a stable future, and help others achieve their dreams of homeownership. Serving others and building trust form the core of my work as a real estate agent and as an equestrian.

What to Remember Every Day

In the fast pace of our daily routines, it’s easy to lose sight of what drives us. But just as we honor the lives lost on 9/11 by never forgetting, we must also remind ourselves of our "why" every day. Here are a few key principles to remember:

1. Value Your Time

Time is precious, and none of us know how much we have. 9/11 serves as a stark reminder of this. Every moment spent working towards your goals, connecting with loved ones, or helping others is time well spent. Ask yourself daily: Am I investing my time in the things that matter most?

2. Strength in Community

During the aftermath of 9/11, communities came together like never before. It’s a powerful reminder of how important relationships are—whether they’re with family, friends, or even clients. In real estate, the community we build and foster is essential. Trust and connection form the foundation of every successful relationship.

3. Your Work Reflects Your Purpose

Whatever your "why" is, it should be reflected in how you approach your work. For me, it’s about providing families in Minnesota with homes where they can create lasting memories, just as I cherish the memories I build with my own family. Staying true to this purpose keeps me grounded, even when balancing multiple roles.

4. Resilience and Perseverance

The strength shown on 9/11 and in the days that followed reminds us of our capacity for resilience. Whether you’re facing personal challenges or professional hurdles, perseverance is key. As I’ve learned in both my personal life and real estate career, every challenge is an opportunity to grow stronger and more determined.

As we remember 9/11 and the many lives impacted, let’s also reflect on our own lives and the reasons we push forward. Our "why" isn’t just a motivating factor—it’s the foundation for everything we do. And by keeping that in focus, we can ensure that every day is spent with purpose, passion, and a commitment to what matters most.

In memory of those we lost and in honor of the resilience we continue to show, let’s never forget our "why."
